Mechanical Design and Manufacturing Engineer
 

The engineer will work closely with the CEO and engineering team to design, test, and implement electroadhesive clutches in robotic systems. The most critical tasks include design optimization, electromechanical characterization, developing fabrication, assembly, and quality assurance methods, and creatively implementing robotic demos. This role will also involve technical interactions with customers, manufacturing partners, and materials suppliers. We’re looking for a curious and driven engineer who can push projects forward effectively.

Position Requirements

  • B.S. in Engineering or Science, MS or PhD encouraged

  • Experience with computer-aided design packages, electromechanical design, custom electromechanical testing, and robotic system integration.

  • Software proficiencies: Solidworks, Matlab, Simulink. Preferred: Python, C/C++

Business Development Manager

The BusDev manger will work closely with the CEO to source and engage with customers as well as strategically explore applications in a variety of rapidly growing robotics markets. The BusDev manager will be accountable for revenue, growth, and customer sourcing in the robotics business verticals. They will need to have a strong understanding of our core technology and use cases and identify new business opportunities. They will also lead our marketing efforts and collaborate with our product manager to ensure designs meet customer needs. We’re looking for an optimistic professional with a straight-forward communication style to drive customer relationships.

Position Requirements

  • B.S. in a technical discipline or B.A. in business. Technical Degree preferred

  • Minimum of five years experience in technical sales.

  • Experience in industrial hardware or robotics hardware sales strongly preferred

Intern / Co-op

Our paid student employees develop engineering and scientific skills by designing, building, and testing electroadhesive clutches for robotic systems. Our ideal candidates have a passion for iterating and innovating, are data-driven and intellectually curious, and know Microsoft office.

Position Requirements

  • Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Robotics, Chemical Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or a related engineering or science field.

  • Matlab, Simulink, and Solidworks experience preferred
